Peach Yogurt Milkshakes

If you live in the general Sacramento region, you’ve no doubt heard of Whitey’s Jolly Kone’s famous peach milkshakes.  If you haven’t, let me tell you, they are pretty good.  Whitey’s waits till the local peaches are ripe, then KAZAAM!  It’s peach shake time, and only until the peaches run out.  Get it while the gettin’s good.  Whitey’s was farm-to-fork before farm-to-fork was cool.  Farm-to-straw?

Yeah, well.  Anyhow, I was working at my work and a lady gave me a sack of peaches from her overloaded tree.  I tried to say no, no, I can’t take gifts, but she INSISTED that I was doing her a favor.  So, ok, maybe I took them.  They were white peaches, and they were really juicy and sweet.  One afternoon I decided that a peach shake sounded like a good lunch.  I could’ve driven over to Whitey’s, or I could just fudge it in the kitchen.  I think you see what happened.  It worked out pretty well.

I like to tell myself that this was even good for me because really, it’s just yogurt!  And fruit!  Go ahead, tell yourself that too.  Because peach season is nearly over!

Peach Yogurt Milkshakes

  • 1 pint vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1/2 small container peach Greek yogurt
  • 1-2 cups peeled and chopped peaches
  • (ice if you want, I didn't)

  • Add yogurts and 1 cup peaches to blender and blend. If not too liquid-y, add the rest. If you want you can add a dash of peach schnapps or amaretto.
