I haven’t cooked anything since coming back from my trip. Instead, I’ve been trying to be a more rounded domestic goddess.
I’m attempting to learn to sew. I bought this sweet sewing machine at an estate sale and everything.
It’s harder than I thought it would be. Thankfully, my teacher Jenn is more patient than I am. So far, I learned what all the little bitty parts are for, I learned to make a few crude stitches, and I learned how to put thread on a bobbin. Hell, I learned what a bobbin is.
I also learned that patterns are made of the thinnest tissue paper imaginable and they fold them like maps. Making them the most frustrating things on the planet.
Cooking is way easier.
