My Parking Lot Lunch with the Mini Burger Truck

by Sarah on July 19, 2011

I have been on the hunt. The hunt for this burger truck.

I missed them at the SactoMoFo. Lines too long. I missed them when they were in Rancho Cordova recently, when they were parked near my office. I couldn’t find them. I missed them downtown. I got there just after they had pulled away.

FINALLY last weekend I saw on Twitter that they were parked out on a desolate stretch of Arden Way, I grabbed my kid and we sped off.

We creeped along, looking for a big black truck in a phone store parking lot.  Eureka!

Choice pop selection.

So here’s the deal.  There are 4 different burgers.  You can mix and match however many you want to get.  The choices are the Cowbell (with bacon, pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, BBQ sauce), the OG (a regular cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, sauce), Da Philly (with provolone, grilled onions and mushrooms), and my favorite–The Ninja (Asian slaw, lotus chip, pea shoots, sriracha aioli).

All the options.

They’ve got hand cut fries and sweet potato tots on the side.  Both good, but I couldn’t keep my hands out of the fries.

Not too shabby for a lunch eaten on a cement curb in a hot parking lot.

We even had a flower on our "table".

Check the Mini Burger website for days and hours of operation.

Follow on Twitter (@MiniBurgerTruck) and Facebook for updates on locations.
