Fluffernutter/Flufferjelly. Yes, really.

by Undercover Caterer on June 6, 2011

Have you ever HAD a fluffernutter? ‘Cause I hadn’t. I KNOW! Peanut butter is practically running through my veins and I’d never even tried one.

That’s because Marshmallow Fluff, or on the West Coast, Marshmallow Cream did not enter my life until after I had entered my 40′s. I’m living it up, y’all!

Who knew?

I also happened to get this book in the mail from Quirk Publishing.  It’s the newest book from Susan Russo of Food Blogga fame.  While perusing the plethora of sandwiches, I spied the marshmallow and peanut butter marvel and decided that NOW IS THE TIME.

Photos by Matt Armendariz, who has his own book out now--'On a Stick'!

Look, this isn’t rocket science or anything.  Grab some decent white bread, put peanut butter on one slice and marshmallow on the other.  Put together.  The end.

Don't be stingy.

I find that sandwiches such as these are better off without the crusts and then cut into pleasing shapes.

Peanut butter and marshmallow: Better than it sounds.

I also got the bright idea to try out this theory with jelly.  Hey, why not?

Repeat, this time with jelly.

Same principle, just use the jelly of your choice.

Yummy.

Just try not to smile while eating these.  I dare ya.
