Just a few sentences for you all today, it’s been a busy busy busy week and having no computer of my own makes this blogging business much more difficult. I know, weep for me, I have to sit in the ROOM OF DOOM and type onto the family desktop. It’s sad, I know.
But dear Readers, I have made the ultimate sacrifice and ordered a MacBook Pro (refurbished) and it should be here Saturday. It’s been taking it’s sweet-ass time getting here from Pennsylvania, it must be hitchhiking or something. If the darn thing ever shows up we’ll be back to our regular scheduled programming.
For today however, I’ll just give you a tease of things to come:
Thursday night I attended an event at the Berkeley Jewish Community Center called “The Deli Summit”. It was organized by the folks over at Saul’s Deli, and also featured speakers from the Mile End Deli in Brooklyn, Kenny and Zuke’s in Portland, and Wise Sons Deli, a SF pop-up. I learned a lot. I’ll tell you more about it later.
Also, the nice people at Quirk Publishing sent me a copy of this cool book The Encyclopedia of Sandwiches by Susan Russo. She writes the Food Blogga blog too. I made a few of these recipes and will share them with you, I promise.
And yes, I KNOW I missed Nana Wednesday this week. Tuesday night I was SO TIRED and then Wednesday I had a bad and terrible migraine. I am not kidding you when I say that I pretty much slept through the whole day. And night. So anyway, I didn’t write it.
And lastly, what would spring be without a shortcake? This one was good and featured Meyer lemon curd.
So stay tuned everybody! I gots lots more for ya comin’ up.
