Cheese, Wine and Thou?

The day after my surgery, I had a pal and the kids hang out with me for a nice afternoon of wine some soft cheeses and prescription medication. Don’t worry, I didn’t give the kids any prescription medication.  They approved the wine selection, however.

Anyway, it got me to thinking….something I have too much time to do at the moment….and I was thinkin’, ‘Hey Self!  You shoud do this on a larger scale–get more people, people love cheese.  They want to know more about cheese!  You should get your ARC chef-professor, who is an EXPERT on cheese to come and talk to some people about cheese!  Genius’!

She very generously accepted the challenge and the date has been set.  Saturday March 27th.  In 2010.  At my house.

The plan is thus far:  Drink some wine, learn about some cheese, eat said cheese, have some other snacks (possibly cheese-related), laugh, tell jokes (I only know one and I’ll probably screw it up) and generally have a swell time.

In order to make this event happen, there will be a nominal charge of $15 for the talk.  I believe I can get around 15-20 people comfortably in this house, though it may be mingling-room only.
