What do you do when you have too many of these?

Make Salsa!

How Do You Solve a Problem like Tomato? Fresh Salsa.

Ingredients

  • Assorted tomatoes, chopped--I used several varieties, about 3 cups total
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, washed and chopped
  • 1 small golden bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 small jalapenos, seeded and minced
  • 1 small fresno chile, seeded and minced
  • salt, pepper, chile flakes to taste

Instructions

  • Chop it all up and mix together. Season to taste. My chiles weren't that hot, so I added a Tbsp or so of chile flakes. Yummy and a good way to use up your tomaters before they get overripe.

ALSO: I have a ton of Asian pears. Anyone in the Sacramento area want any? Send me a comment if you do, and we can arrange something.
